In accordance with the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules sourcebook
transitional provision 6, SABMiller plc today advises that since 28 December
2006 its capital has increased by 212,497 ordinary shares with voting rights.


Therefore, the total number of voting rights in SABMiller plc's ordinary shares
is 1,501,747,245.


The above number may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the
calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their
interest in, or a change to their interest in, SABMiller plc under the FSA's
Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
