                  Change in particulars of executive director


In accordance with Listing Rule LR9.6.14, SABMiller plc announces that its Chief
Executive, Graham Mackay, has accepted an invitation to join the board of Philip
Morris International Inc.


Altria Group, Inc. announced earlier today its intention to spin-off Philip
Morris International Inc. to Altria's shareholders. Mr Mackay has agreed to join
the Philip Morris International Inc. board of directors later in 2008.
