SABMiller regrets to announce the resignation of Maria Ramos as a non-executive director with effect from 26 February 2009.

In consequence of her appointment as the Chief Executive of ABSA in South Africa with effect from 1 March 2009, Ms Ramos has been obliged to resign from the Board of SABMiller plc.

The Board of SABMiller PLC wishes Ms Ramos every success in her new appointment.
